The Arts Build Communities
(ABC) Grant program is intended
to create new partnerships between artists and
organizations for the development of the cultural, social, educational
and economic growth of the community. Communities are strengthened
and benefit through the participation of partners who are actively
involved in the planning and completion of the project. Want to
bring storytelling to your community? Let’s become partners
and apply for this grant.
Performing Arts on Tour grants provide a 50% fee subsidy
for Kentucky presenters to bring quality artists to communities
across the commonwealth. Any Kentucky not-for-profit organization
with tax-exempt status may apply. Government agencies, schools,
colleges and universities are eligible if the project primarily
serves a broad community audience. Performances must be open to
the public and take place in Kentucky. To learn more about Mary's
performances for a wide variety of audiences, click here.
Teacher Initiated Program places professional artists in
Kentucky schools for short-term residencies, at the invitation of
the teacher or administrator. These one-, two-, three-, or four-week
residencies provide hands-on arts experiences for both teachers
and students. To learn more about some of Mary's past residency
projects, click here.
